Westlake High School starts season at 0-3

After making the Class 5A (which by the way is arguably the toughest Class in Texas) State Title Game in 1994, 1996, 2000, 2001, and 2006 the Westlake Chaparrals have started 0-3 for the first time in school history. Drew Brees’ old high school just has not been up to par this season losing bad to Lake Travis and allowing future University of Texas stud Garrett Gilbert to put up over 200 yards of passing and rush for almost 100 yards. If you ask me, thisis all because they got rid of Ron Schroeder. I grew up hating the school, but now its just sad where they have ended up this season. Who would have ever thought they would live to see Dripping Springs High School go 3-0 while Westlake has not won a game in the 2008 season. Get your act together, I enjoy going to your games every once in a while so don’t let me down again like you did with 4-A Lake Travis. Also, if you read this, Derek Long (coach of Westlake), you should be aware at where you job is going to be in the next few months because Westlake, Tx takes its football seriously. They wont even split the school district so what makes you think you they will keep you?
Kansas State vs. Louisville Predictions

Josh Freeman - Quarterback of Kansas State Wildcats
Kansas State will be going for a 3rd victory in a row tonight coming off their 69-10 route of Montana State. Now, I know how all of you feel about the level of schedule this year for Kansas State but having lived in Montana, I can tell you how big football is up there. Montana State is held in high regard and I was very surprised in how hard they fell. Kansas State is averaging 57 pts. per game this season so far and I think its going to be another high flying offensive reel of a game tonight. Louisville has not impressed me at all this season not being able to get it done against Kentucky and coming out with just 2 points total. They did however slaughter a seasoned Ohio Valley Conference Tennessee Tech team in impressive form 52-10. With both squads coming off large victories, look for Louisville to get it done on the ground and Josh Freeman of Kansas State to get it done through the air. I am giving Kansas State the victory and I am going to go with 37-14. I think there will be more offense, but I am going to go more conservative for my first pick.
Tampa Bay Back on Top of the AL East

D. Navarro hits an RBI single to get a win over the Boston Red Sox.
Andy Sonnanstine pitched 6 hard fought innings tonight as the young Tampa Bay Rays were looking anything but greenies against the seasoned Boston Red Sox. The Rays fought back in the 7th inning with a Carlos Pena homerun. Dioner Navarro was able to get Tampa Bay a game winning RBI single in the bottom on the 9th inning for a 2-1 victory over the “not so” Boston Red Sox. If you ask me, I think the pitiful part about all of this is, that the Tampa Bay stadium will probably not be filled when they play again tomorrow. If it is at full capacity, its because half of stadium is full of Sox fans. For a stadium that holds 36,000 people, they are only averaging about 21,500 people per. I feel bad only because it costs me an arm and a leg to go see the Braves in action. I guess it goes to show that Floridians are just not interesting in baseball anymore. The team with the second lowest yearly salary payout looks like it could take their youngsters to the playoffs more than likely and even possibly their first world series.
