Jordan Spieth is seemingly unbreakable as he leads the Masters for a 7th consecutive round beating his own record once again.  He had quite the erratic day with five birdies, two bogeys, and two double bogeys.  This included a bogey on hole 17 and double bogey on hole 18.  This is pretty hardcore because he was at 6 under with just two holes left and ended just one stroke ahead of Kaufman who finished the day 3 under par with a total score of 2 under par. It seems as if Sunday will be a great day to watch golf as Spieth seems to be losing wind while others have managed to get within a few strokes.  If Spieth expects to stay in the lead and win this tournament he is going to have to play much better than he did yesterday.

On the other hand and on the other side of things Rory McIlroy had a horrible day shooting 5 over par. His tournament is pretty much done barring some sort of miracle from the young Irishman.  Phil Mickelson didn’t even make the cut after the second day and Jason Day (number one in the world) is tied for fifth at even par.  He is probably the best hope at this point to unseat Spieth.  Who knows though, we could have a newcomer to the ranks of Master’s Tournament Champion.  Besides Jason Day and Jordan Spieth the average ranking (this season) of the top 10 players is 94.25.  This would be everyone within four strokes of the leader.  Here is what the top 12 looks like.

Rank Country Golfer Score
1 United States Jordan Spieth -3

There are only four players still under par in this tournament.  By then end of the tournament there could be none the way the weather has been.  Luckily golfers will have a break tomorrow with the wind and most of the shadows.  The wind speeds will start out at around 10mph but will die down throughout the day.  The wind will also change direction from the East to the Southeast.  It should be the easiest day yet for golfers as they try to tackle this difficult course.  This of course also means that it’s anyone’s game to win. I have never anticipated a Sunday Masters this much.  I am anxious to see who ends up on the top of the leaderboard.
